This beautiful pattern is designed by Leonardo Hidalgo. Leonardo participated in the 2019 PatternLab project, where he designed patterns for Lapuan Kankure together with a team of textile and graphic designers. The HANKI, HUURRE and HILE patterns were inspired by hiking in the nearby forests of Helsinki. Leonardo used simple elements such as rocks, water flow, moonlight and vertical shapes of trees in his stemware designs.
The HILE scarves are made of captivatingly soft 100% merino. While lightweight, these merino wool products are also warm. A wonderful gift idea for a man!
The product is made of 100% South American and Australian merino wool. The wool is mulesing-free and we only work with responsible and certified spinning mills. All yarns are spun and dyed according to REACH regulations and meet Oeko-TEX certification requirements.
Lapuan Kankurei's strategy is to be responsible for the manufacturing of the products from the yarn itself to the finished product. Therefore, the largest and most significant part of the entire manufacturing process takes place in our own weaving mill in Lapua.
The product design, material sourcing, fabric binding and weaving machine programming, as well as the creation, weaving, finishing and fabric inspection of this woollen textile are all carried out in our own weaving mill in Lapua. Sewing is mainly done at the weaving mill in Lapua or at the subsidiary's own sewing mill in Lithuania. The materials for the product are sourced from Europe, mainly from Finland.
Care instructions:
Wash only when the textile is really dirty, otherwise a light airing outside is sufficient. Hand wash up to 30°C or dry clean. Dilute the detergent in plenty of water and allow to dissolve well. Immerse the textile in the water and wash immediately. Squeeze gently. Do not rub, stretch or twist. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out the water. Press between towels until semi-dry and air dry. Do not tumble dry. Iron only through a damp cloth, up to 150°C.
