Lapuan Kankurit is part of the Masters of Linen organization, which means that the linen used in the products is of the best European quality. The products are woven in Lapuan Kankurit's own weaving mill in Lapua. The products have been granted the Key Flag symbol.
The product is made of 100% linen. The environmentally friendly linen is rain-fed in Normandy, Europe and is 100% European, traceable and long-staple Masters of linen. All yarns are spun and dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and meet the requirements of the ÖKO-TEX certificate.
Our strategy is to be responsible for manufacturing our products ourselves, from yarn to finished product. That is why the largest and most significant part of our entire manufacturing takes place in our own weaving mill in Lapua.
The product design, material procurement, fabric binding and weaving machine programming of this textile, as well as creation, weaving, finishing and fabric inspection are all done in our own weaving mill in Lapua. Sewing is mainly done in our subsidiary's own sewing mill in Lithuania or in our weaving mill in Lapua. Accessories for the product are sourced from Europe, mainly from Finland.
