The wonderful RUUT pattern was designed by Finnish designer Heini Riitahuhta. A whole life is woven into the patterns of RUUT fabric. The picture was slowly completed over the years, at the same pace as designer Heini Riitahuhta's children grew up. "I wanted the RUUT cloth to be fun patchwork, just like life is. I drew on it subjects related to flowers and growing up to reflect the life cycle of mother and daughter together. I see the growth of an important person as an opening flower - and there are also parts that I can't even know everything about"

In 2015, the RUUT pattern was chosen as the textile of the year in Avotakka interior magazine.

Domestic RUUT products woven with Jacquard technology are washed linen-cotton. Washed linen-cotton is a beautiful, relaxed and easy-care material that you can easily throw into the washing machine whenever needed. It doesn't necessarily need ironing, but small wrinkles are allowed, even desired!

Lapuan Kankurit is part of the Masters of Linen organization, which means that the linen used in the products is of the best European quality. The material of the RUUT cloth is Masters of Linen quality hemp linen and bio-organic cotton, which is manufactured in accordance with the ÖKO-TEX standard. The products are woven in our weaving mill in Lapua, and they have been awarded the Key Flag ID.

The product is made of linen and bio-organic cotton. The linen is grown in Normandy, Europe and is 100% European, traceable and long fiber Masters of linen linen. All yarns are spun and dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and meet the requirements of the ÖKO-TEX certificate.

Our strategy is to be responsible for manufacturing the products from the yarn itself to the finished product. That's why the largest and most significant part of our entire production takes place in our own weaving mill in Lapua.
